About the Event

Join Richard Miller for this in-depth iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation Workshop where you will learn core principles and practices of iRest Yoga Nidra as an ancient form of nondual yogic meditation and experience the variety of ways you can use iRest in meditation and in your everyday world.

Waking In: Foundations of Meditation is part 1 of a three-part series on experiencing, learning, and practicing the art and science of meditation that is being presented at Samadhi Center by Richard Miller. (Part 2: ‘Intermediate and Advanced Stages of Meditation: Waking Up’, and Part 3: ‘Integration of Meditation as a Way of Life: Awakening Down and Out’ will be offered at Samadhi Center in later workshops.)

This Foundations of Meditation Workshop is open to everyone: both newcomers to meditation, and experienced iRest and meditation practitioners alike who wish to experience the fullness that iRest Meditation has to offer for health and healing and awakening to our underlying undivided wholeness of being.

Secular in its practice, iRest Meditation incorporates ancient wisdom teachings that draw from Sāṁkhya, Patañjali’s Yoga Sutra, Advaita Nondualism, and Śaiva Unqualified Nondual Tantra, among other eastern and western approaches to contemplative meditation. iRest offers Direct Path teachings for awakening to your Essential Nature: that which is always whole and healthy and is never in need of healing. iRest also offers Progressive Path teachings that address what is in need of healing within the body and mind that give rise to dissatisfaction and suffering.

iRest Meditation is presented through a combination of lecture, guided meditations, and Q&A sessions. Easily integrated into your personal life, everyone can benefit from iRest. It teaches underlying principles that enhance the understanding and practice of your own philosophical, religious, or spiritual orientation. And it reveals how to integrate the practices into your client, student, interpersonal, and relationship and work-related settings with individuals and groups.

This iRest Yoga Nidra Workshop fulfills the short retreat requirement of the iRest Certification Program.
