Yoga Nidra is an age-old, sleep-based meditation technique with extensive evidence-based success. In Yoga Nidra we use the body's natural biological processes to drop into the deep inner state of pure potential where we are free from conflicting forces. Through neuroplasticity this profound practice is used to calm the mind, support greater overall health and assist in generating a more positive outlook on life. Negative or harmful thought patterns disintegrate and new neural pathways and new brain matter are actually created in the brain, allowing for far greater peace, clarity and enjoyment of life.
The benefits of Yoga Nidra are available to literally anyone since the practitioner is guided through this meditative practice typically while laying down, but can be done in any position. The idea is to be as comfortable as possible in order to allow, what feels like magic, to occur in that juicy and rich deep sleep state.
Yoga Nidra is offered on Wednesdays for free to anyone wishing to know themselves more deeply. Donations are welcome, but not expected. Enjoy tea and treats following class as we grow our community of like-hearted yogis. Blankets and bolsters are available, and you are invited to bring anything else that will help you feel supremely comfortable. Bring a friend and let's wake up to our magnificence together. <3
